The Rainforest Alliance has a team of experts that supports farmers and producer groups as they implement the Sustainable Agriculture Standard on their farms. We organize training workshops and diagnostic visits and provide training materials such as posters, manuals, videos and an online training platform (to be launched in early 2012). In order to meet the very high demand worldwide, much of our training is provided through trainers, who could be project staff, consultants, agronomists, extension officers, company employees and lead farmers. We train these trainers to maintain and calibrate the quality of our training programs. Our work is conducted in coordination with the Sustainable Agriculture Network Secretariat to ensure that the latest changes and adjustments to the SAN standard are reflected in our training curriculum. We are keen to help the trainers and farmers stay updated with the continuous improvements made to the SAN standard.
